Halloween is one of world’；s oldest holidays and while the US and Canada take claim to over 65% of？the population celebrating the？holiday there are plenty of countries around the globe that also celebrate it， so one might think it is an American driven holiday it is not. ？The holiday started about 2000 years ago in what is now Ireland and the UK over to what is now the north of France. ？The holiday’；s traditions are very different across the cultures， but October 31 has remained the day of？celebration. ？Many families and cultures choose not to celebrate the holiday for a wide range of factorscustom christmas gifts， but still？embrace the？amazement of the fall and the change of the seasons.？
Marie shares with us the Fall inspired handmade card that we fell in love with. ？Taking bits and pieces from the Haunt It collection and making it her own. ？Marie is from Sweden where Halloween has only been a tradition since the 1990’；s， some families choose to embrace the American traditions that are？marketed so well and others？choosing to not embrace the holiday at all.accent pillow case baby burlap housewarming gift
We don′t celebrate Halloween in our family. Oh if you don′t count on those random occasions when we do crazy face paintings. Well， I find the new Halloween papers from Canvas Home Basic really usable even though we don′t celebrate. I love the colors and the craft base make them really interesting with a bold contrasting color like singing blue or striking oranges.
This card was made with the Black &； Kraft Postcards as base. I simply cut a strip with two of the cards and folded in the middle.？The card was decorated with papers from Haunt it， also cut into smaller strips.
Splashes of Glimmer adds a cool effect. And the flowers &； cheese cloth were stained with Glimmer Mists as well. To highlight the edges of the Haunt it papers I added Orange High Impact Paint on the base paper (using my finger tip).
Hope you enjoyed my non Halloween Haunt it papers card!

Craftsman Mike Warren was inspired by the beauty of the Babele lamp by Manifattura Italian Design, but unwilling to pay the high sale price. So, the determined designer decided to hand craft a version of the lamp, which is a playful, shape-shifting piece that can be arranged and stacked to your liking. Warren made the replica using free software and about $15 worth of supplies. He also documented the entire process on Instructables, a DIY site, so that anybody can recreate their own Stackable Lamp.
